How to use R+Co High Dive Moisture + Shine Crème
A quick read on formula weight, where to apply it, and which hair types should use a lighter hand.
A fuller-weight clean cream for medium-to-thick hair that needs polish and protection.
Mid-lengths and ends before styling
You want Barb's "sunscreen for the hair" idea in a clean, vegan formula.
Hair is fine or collapses easily; Waterfall is the lighter sibling.
Barb has an R+Co educator relationship, and the page flags that context.
What to inspect before you buy

Barb is a paid R+Co global cutting educator. We flag this on every R+Co review so readers can weigh the rating in context. Her 8/10 is solid — R+Co is recommended, not top-ranked.
What Barb said
“One of my favorite brands. Great price point. Easy to use and has heat protection and UV protection. I always say think of it like sunscreen for the hair! It’s Vegan. Overall any client I suggested this to loved it. 8/10 rating. Better for medium to thick hair. Medium to coarse texture.”
Who it’s for
Medium to thick hair. Medium to coarse texture. Anyone who wants UV and heat protection in a clean, vegan formula without spending Oribe prices.
Who it isn’t for
Fine hair — try R+Co Waterfall instead, which uses the same formula in a lighter build. Not for clients who want maximum slip or detangling performance (Unite 7 Seconds is the specialist for that).
What’s the difference between High Dive and Waterfall? Both R+Co, both UV + heat protection, both clean and vegan. High Dive is the fuller-weight version for medium-to-thick hair. Waterfall is lighter, made for fine hair. Same philosophy, different densities.
Formulation notes
Clean and vegan. UV protection included — Barb’s “sunscreen for the hair” framing is accurate. Sulfate-free, paraben-free, and color-safe by brand claim.
Pros and cons
Pros: Clean and vegan · UV + heat protection · Accessible price · Client-approved across the board
Cons: R+Co educator conflict — disclosed · Better for medium/thick than fine hair · Not the strongest detangler
